📸 What are Senior Portraits, and should I take them?
Absolutely! Senior portraits are a special tradition that celebrates your final year of high school. These professional studio portraits are featured in the senior section of your yearbook—the most important section! Unlike standard school-day photos, senior portraits are taken in a studio setting with professional lighting, backgrounds, and guidance from our experienced photographers. You’ll have multiple poses and backgrounds to choose from, and you can order prints for family and friends.
🧥 What do I need to do for the yearbook image?
Check the information sent to your email with your appointment. Some schools have specific dress codes to ensure consistency in the yearbook. For tips on clothing, hair, and makeup, visit our Senior Tips page or give us a call!
😷 What if I’m sick, sunburned, or having a bad hair day?
Reschedule!
If you’re not feeling your best, it will show in your photos. Sunburns can’t be retouched naturally, and trying a new hairstyle on photo day isn’t recommended. It’s better to wait and feel confident.
🧴 What if I have a breakout?
Don’t worry—your yearbook image will be retouched at no additional cost, even if you don’t place an order. Just remember: your proofs will not be retouched or color balanced.
💰 Why is there a sitting fee?
Senior portraits are specialty sessions that include professional photography, mailing materials, photo proofs, and yearbook retouching. Your sitting fee helps cover these costs. Plus, you’ll receive a coupon equal to your sitting fee that can be applied toward a portrait package (note: coupon has an expiration date).
⏳ If I reschedule, will I miss the yearbook deadline?
Not necessarily—but don’t wait! Appointment slots are limited, and missing your session could mean missing the yearbook. Watch for make-up dates provided by your school.
💵 What if I can’t afford the session right now?
Call us! We understand that finances can be tight, and we’re happy to work with you to make arrangements—just don’t miss the yearbook deadline.
📬 What happens after my session?
You’ll select your yearbook image on-site to ensure you’re happy with your pose. Then, we’ll email your proofs with ordering instructions. You can order portraits anytime during the school year, but we recommend ordering early to meet deadlines for senior pages, graduation announcements, and college applications.

Each image is numbered to make ordering easy. Choose your favorites, select a package, and let us know if you need help—we’re happy to assist.
🖨️ What happens after I place my order?
We begin production as soon as we receive your order. Normal turnaround is 4–8 weeks, depending on the season. During peak yearbook deadlines, it may take longer—so order early! Once your portraits are ready, ship them immediately to the address provided.
